Admissions

What is the minimum age for admission to Samridhi International Pre School?

The minimum age for each program is as follows, calculated as of June 1st of the academic year:

  • Playgroup / Pre Nursery — child must be at least 2 years old
  • Nursery — child must be at least 3 years old
  • Junior KG (Kindergarten 1) — child must be at least 4 years old
  • Senior KG (Kindergarten 2) — child must be at least 5 years old

Children who will turn the required age within a few weeks of June 1st may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact our admissions team to discuss.

How do I apply for admission to Samridhi Pre School?

Admission is simple and takes just a few minutes:

  1. Fill in our online enquiry form at sipschool.in/admission or call us on +91 824 353 9777.
  2. Our admissions team will call you within 24 hours to answer your questions.
  3. We invite you and your child for a campus visit — see the classrooms, playground, library, music room, and dining hall in person.
  4. Once you decide to enroll, submit the required documents and confirm the seat.

Seats fill up quickly — especially for Playgroup and Nursery — so we recommend applying as early as possible.

What documents are required for admission?

Please bring the following documents at the time of enrollment:

  • Child’s birth certificate (original + photocopy)
  • Child’s passport-size photographs (4 copies)
  • Child’s immunization / vaccination record
  • Parent or guardian’s photo identity proof (Aadhaar, PAN, passport)
  • Proof of residence (Aadhaar or utility bill)
  • Previous school transfer certificate (if applicable — for KG admissions)

When does the academic year begin at Samridhi?

Our academic year begins in June and runs through March/April, aligned with the Karnataka state school calendar. Admissions for the new academic year typically open in January. We strongly recommend visiting the school and securing your child’s seat before March, as seats in popular programs like Nursery and Junior KG are limited.

Is there a waiting list? How do I secure a seat for my child?

Yes, especially for Playgroup and Nursery, we frequently have more enquiries than available seats. A seat is confirmed only after submission of the enrollment form and required documents. We do not hold seats on a verbal or WhatsApp confirmation basis. To avoid disappointment, please complete the enrollment process as soon as you decide to join.

If the program your child needs is full, we will add you to our waiting list and contact you as soon as a seat becomes available.

Can I visit the school before deciding to enroll?

Absolutely — we encourage it. Seeing the campus, meeting the teachers, and watching the school environment firsthand is the best way to make the right decision for your child. Campus visits can be scheduled Monday to Saturday between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Call us or send a WhatsApp message to book a visit: +91 70228 93777.

Programs and Curriculum

What programs does Samridhi International Pre School offer?

We offer four programs designed for children aged 2 to 6 years:

  • Playgroup / Pre Nursery — Ages 2–3: Sensory exploration, language beginnings, social confidence
  • Nursery — Ages 3–4: Phonics, early numeracy, creative arts, outdoor play
  • Junior KG (Kindergarten 1) — Ages 4–5: Reading readiness, math foundations, project-based learning
  • Senior KG (Kindergarten 2) — Ages 5–6: Advanced literacy, critical thinking, full school readiness

Each program has a dedicated classroom, age-appropriate curriculum, and trained teachers maintaining a 1:10 teacher-to-student ratio throughout.

What curriculum does Samridhi Pre School follow?

Our curriculum is a holistic, play-based framework aligned with international early childhood education standards and the principles of India’s National Education Policy (NEP 2020). It is designed for children aged 2 to 6 years and focuses on six developmental domains:

  • Language and communication
  • Early literacy and numeracy
  • Creative arts (art, music, dance, drama)
  • Physical and motor development
  • Social-emotional learning
  • Environmental awareness and early science

Learning happens through structured daily routines, hands-on activities, storytelling, music, outdoor play, and collaborative projects — never through rote memorization.

What are the school hours at Samridhi?

School hours are 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday to Saturday, for all programs. Extended care options (if available for the current academic year) can be confirmed by contacting our admissions team. The school is closed on all national holidays and Karnataka state government holidays.

What is the teacher-to-student ratio at Samridhi?

We maintain an international standard teacher-to-student ratio of 1:10 — meaning one qualified teacher for every ten children. This ensures that every child receives personal attention, and no child is left behind in a crowded classroom. Many preschools in Mangalore maintain ratios of 1:20 or higher; our 1:10 commitment is a deliberate investment in your child’s individual growth.

How do you track and report my child’s progress?

We believe parents should always know how their child is growing. We use a portfolio-based assessment approach — each child’s work, activities, and milestones are documented throughout the year. Progress is shared through:

  • Regular Parent-Teacher meetings (PTMs) at fixed intervals during the academic year
  • Individual progress reports shared at the end of each term
  • Open-door policy — parents can speak to the class teacher on any school day
  • WhatsApp updates for daily highlights and events

Will my child be ready for Class 1 (primary school) after completing Senior KG at Samridhi?

Yes — school readiness is the core goal of our Senior KG program. Children completing Senior KG at Samridhi are able to read simple sentences in English, write their name and basic words, handle numbers up to 100, follow classroom instructions independently, and engage confidently with peers and teachers. Our graduates have successfully transitioned to leading primary schools in Mangalore. We also support parents with guidance on school selection and the Class 1 admission process.

Meals and Nutrition

Does Samridhi provide meals? What does my child eat at school?

Yes — Samridhi provides three meals every school day: breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Our meal menu is prepared under the guidance of a qualified dietician to ensure it is nutritionally balanced and age-appropriate for children aged 2 to 6 years. The menu is reviewed and revised periodically, and we welcome suggestions from parents.

All meals are cooked fresh on campus using ingredients that are strictly supervised for quality. We use steel utensils, provide filtered drinking water, and maintain the highest standards of kitchen hygiene. Parents are welcome to visit the kitchen and inspect the food preparation process at any time.

Can I send food from home for my child?

Packed food from home is inspected by our staff before being given to your child to ensure it is safe, hygienic, and appropriate. We ask parents to avoid sending aerated drinks, chips, or heavily processed foods. Our dietician and teachers are happy to advise on healthy meal ideas if needed.

What if my child has a food allergy or dietary restriction?

Please inform us of any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions (including religious or cultural food preferences) at the time of admission. We take all allergies seriously and will work with your family and our dietician to ensure your child’s meals are safe and suitable.

Safety and Infrastructure

How does Samridhi ensure the safety of children on campus?

Child safety is our first and highest priority. We have multiple layers of protection:

  • 24/7 CCTV surveillance covering all classrooms, play areas, corridors, and entry/exit points
  • Biometric attendance system for all staff — ensures only verified employees are on campus
  • Thorough background verification of all teachers, support staff, and transport personnel
  • On-site nurse with a fully equipped first aid room and emergency response protocols
  • Controlled entry and exit — children are released only to authorized family members
  • Dedicated cleaning staff maintaining hygienic classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas throughout the day

What is the campus size? What facilities does Samridhi have?

Samridhi International Pre School has a sprawling campus of over 20,000 square feet — making it Mangalore’s largest preschool. Our facilities include:

  • Spacious, air-conditioned classrooms with child-friendly furniture
  • Separate bathrooms for each classroom, with child-height fittings
  • Large outdoor playground with age-appropriate play equipment
  • Library and PLE (Pre-Literacy Environment) room
  • Music and Dance room with instruments and performance space
  • Dedicated Dining Hall for meals
  • Well-equipped Activity Rooms
  • Personalized storage for each child (shoe racks, bags)

Is there a nurse or medical facility at the school?

Yes. We have a qualified nurse on-site every school day with a well-equipped first aid kit and medical room. Comprehensive emergency plans are in place and all staff are trained in basic first aid procedures. In the event of any medical concern, parents are contacted immediately.

Are the classrooms air-conditioned?

Yes, all classrooms at Samridhi International Pre School are air-conditioned. Given Mangalore’s warm and humid climate, we invest in a comfortable learning environment so children can focus and stay comfortable throughout the school day. Each classroom also has its own separate bathroom with child-height fixtures.

Transport

Does Samridhi provide transport / school bus service?

Yes. We offer door-to-door transport service for children across Mangalore and surrounding areas. Key features of our transport service:

  • GPS-tracked vehicles — parents can confirm the vehicle’s location
  • Female companion (“didi” / sister) on every vehicle — a trained female staff member accompanies children throughout the journey
  • Trained drivers — all drivers are verified, experienced, and oriented on child safety protocols
  • Door-to-door pickup and drop — children are collected and returned directly at home

To confirm whether your area is covered and for transport fee details, please call us on +91 824 353 9777.

Is the school transport safe for toddlers aged 2–3 years?

Yes. The presence of a trained female companion on every vehicle is specifically designed to reassure parents of very young children. The companion sits with the children, ensures seatbelts are fastened, monitors comfort and safety during transit, and hands each child personally to the parent or guardian at home. Many parents of our Playgroup and Nursery students use the transport service with complete confidence.

School Life and Values

What values does Samridhi instill in children?

At Samridhi, academic skills and personal values go hand in hand. The school day begins with a prayer ritual that teaches children discipline, gratitude, and a sense of community. Our approach emphasizes:

  • Respect — for teachers, peers, and the environment
  • Responsibility — caring for their belongings, following routines
  • Resilience — trying again, learning from mistakes
  • Kindness and collaboration — through group activities and inclusive play

We recognize achievement through monthly medal awards and thematic celebrations — ensuring every child feels seen, motivated, and proud of their growth.

Does Samridhi celebrate festivals and events?

Absolutely. Cultural celebrations are a rich part of life at Samridhi. We celebrate
all major Indian festivals — Diwali, Eid, Christmas, Onam, Independence Day, Republic
Day, and many more — through themed classroom activities, performances, crafts,
and whole-school events. Our Annual Day is a highlight of the calendar, where
children perform on stage in front of family and the entire school community.

How do you involve parents in the child’s school life?

We believe parents are partners in education, not just observers. We keep parents involved through:

  • Regular Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) at scheduled intervals
  • WhatsApp updates on daily activities, events, and announcements
  • Open invitation to participate in school events and celebrations
  • Transparent, two-way communication — parents can speak to class teachers directly
  • Parent suggestions actively welcomed for meal planning and activities
